This Week's Message

Do I really need to serve in church? Luke 10 and the Good Samaritan
The Good Samaritan: Faith That Serves | Ps. Abram Bagunu | Luke 10:25–37
🚨 WHAT IF BEING A GOOD CHRISTIAN IS ABOUT MORE THAN WHAT YOU BELIEVE OR HOW MUCH YOU GIVE?
You can attend church, give your tithe, and know the Bible, but still walk right past someone who desperately needs your help.
In Luke 10:25–37, Jesus tells the familiar story of the Good Samaritan. But behind this simple parable is a challenging question:
❤️ Are we actually loving our neighbors, or are we just too busy to notice them?
In this message, Ps. Abram Bagunu challenges us to rethink generosity. Following Jesus isn't just about giving our money. It's about giving something we can never get back: our time.
📖 SERVING IS PART OF THE SALVATION LIFE
When a wounded man is left on the side of the road, two religious leaders pass him by. But an unlikely Samaritan stops, shows compassion, sacrifices his resources, and takes responsibility for helping someone in need.
Jesus challenges us to do the same.
🙌 In this sermon, we'll discover:
• Why generosity requires more than occasional giving
• What the Good Samaritan teaches us about loving our neighbors
• Why serving others will always cost us something
• How busyness can keep us from seeing people in need
• Why compassion must lead to action
• How ordinary acts of service can make an eternal difference
✝️ FAITH IS MORE THAN SOMETHING WE BELIEVE. IT'S SOMETHING WE LIVE.
It's easy to love people when it's convenient. But what happens when loving someone interrupts your schedule, costs you money, or requires personal sacrifice?
Jesus calls us to something greater.
❤️ You must care.
🤝 You must do something.
🙌 You must partner with others.
The people God has placed around you need more than good intentions. They need someone willing to stop, notice, and serve.
Whether you've followed Jesus for years or you're exploring Christianity for the first time, this message will challenge you to see your neighbors differently.
Who might God be calling you to serve today?
