This Week's Message
Watch the sermon from this Sunday👇
You Already Have What It Takes | Dr. Fel Bagunu | 2 Peter 1:1–7
🔥 WHAT IF GOD HAS ALREADY GIVEN YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO BECOME THE PERSON HE’S CALLING YOU TO BE?
Many of us are waiting for more. More money. More time. More confidence. More spiritual maturity.
But 2 Peter 1 gives us a radically different picture:
“His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness.” — 2 Peter 1:3
In this message, Dr. Fel Bagunu challenges us to stop living from a mindset of scarcity and recognize the incredible truth that God has already supplied what we need to grow, serve, give, and become more like Jesus.
🪣 GOD WANTS YOU TO LOOK LIKE HIM
Christianity is about more than managing your behavior or waiting for heaven.
Through Jesus, we are invited to become “partakers of the divine nature.”
God is generous. And as we become more like Him, generosity should increasingly become part of who we are.
💧 YOU ALREADY HAVE WHAT IT TAKES
“I don’t have enough.”
That mindset can keep us from serving, giving, obeying, and taking the next step God has placed before us.
Peter says God has already given us what we need.
Generosity doesn’t begin when your circumstances finally improve. It begins when you realize that, in Christ, you are living from God’s abundance rather than your own scarcity.
🔓 GENEROSITY BREAKS THE GRIP OF CONSUMERISM
Our culture constantly tells us to accumulate more, protect more, and measure our worth by what we possess.
The Gospel invites us into something different.
Every time we open our hands with our time, talents, finances, and energy, we declare:
My security isn’t in what I keep.
My security is in the God who provides.
Dr. Fel also shares the story of stepping out in faith to plant what would become Commission Church and experiencing God’s unexpected provision along the way.
When God calls us to obedience, we can trust Him with what comes next.
🙌 WHAT IS GOD ASKING YOU TO DO?
Take an honest look at your calendar, finances, abilities, and priorities.
Are you using what God has given you to become more like Jesus?
You don’t have to wait for someday.
God has given you what you need to take your next step today.
